Mentor Mentee Program
WBSA is dedicated to running a robust Mentor Mentee Program. The Mentor Mentee Program offers an opportunity for members to learn and gain advice from a more experienced mentor. Mentors coach mentees to overcome college and career obstacles, transitioning to Michigan State University, and can provide feedback to any questions. WBSA creates social events for mentors and mentees to build relationships and have fun! This program is open to all majors. The Mentor Mentee Program begins with the application process for both mentors and mentees in the Fall. Attend WBSA General Membership Meetings to learn more!
Our application process for the 2018-2019 Mentor-Mentee Program is now closed. Please make sure to look out for information regarding the 2019-2020 Mentor-Mentee Program.
If you are part of the program, we encourage you to meet with your mentor or mentee bi-weekly or at least once a month if possible! Some ideas for possible topics include resume critiques, how to write the perfect cover letter, advice on courses to take for their schedule (please keep in mind that it is ideal to talk to your adviser before changing your schedule for good upon someone's recommendation), and finding an internship!
