WBSA will be selling stickers for our year-long fundraiser! You'll want to hurry though - these stickers won't last long! The options for stickers to buy include a vintage Sparty head, a seasonal Sparty head, and of course a WBSA Sparty head! You can purchase these stickers at any of our WBSA events, whether that is at a GMM or a social.
Come out to join WBSA at our first meeting of the semester and reconnect with all of your friends! PWC, one of the Big 4 accounting firms, will be presenting to students on Technology in the Workplace. Some of the topics that we will focus on include Skype, LinkedIn, instant messaging, and conference calls. If you have any further topics that you are interested in, you will get a chance to ask your questions during the presentation! We are also giving our members an opportunity to take LinkedIn professional photos afterwards!

WBSA will be gathering to have a combined social and community service event, with the blankets being gathered for those in need at Haven House in the Lansing area! Sign up here. Milk and cookies will be provided! The location is to be determined for this event, but it will likely occur in the BCC.
Ford Motor Company will be coming to present to WBSA on February 7th! We hope that our topic will be a relatable one: managing the struggle from Backpack to Briefcase - transitioning from school to the workplace. It can be difficult moving from going to school for a few hours a day and possibly a part-time job to suddenly working 40 hours a week! We hope that you will gain some insight on how to handle this transition with ease!

WBSA will combining forces with our sister organizations of Multicultural Business Programs (MBS, NAHBS, and NABA) to raise money for the programs that you all have come to know and love - such as tutoring, networking opportunities, and socials! Additionally, the funding will help all four of the MBP organizations to continue to help you develop both professionally and personally! More information will be coming out soon regarding forming teams and the location!
Would you like to discover your hero? Do you want to have a hand in passing the torch of justice? Sign up with a team to participate in the Multicultural Heroes Hall of Fame Case Competition! The grand prize is $2,000! You can find the application here. Team applications are due by January 17, 2018! Turn your applications in at any of our GMMs or to the 4th floor of Eppley. The actual case competition is on Wednesday, February 21st.

WBSA will visiting Lansing's very own Peckham, which is a locally owned run organization that provides job training and employment for people with disabilities or other barriers to employment, in addition to rehabilitation and other services. This will be a great opportunity for members of WBSA to learn more about the ways that Peckham benefits our community!
Would you like to learn how navigate the future? We will be hosting three Fortune 500 companies for our 11th Annual Leadership Conference and we want to help you follow the road to success! There will be 3 workshops (one from each company) and a keynote speaker from one of the companies! We are still confirming which corporations which will be joining us.
Looming finals means a celebration of the end of another school year - but it also means that everyone is extremely stressed out! If you'd like a little help in keeping your sanity, you should come out to our De-Stress social and mingle with the members of WBSA for the last time this year! Also, our new e-Board will be there for you to meet them! Time and location is TBD.
Our Top Member Dinner is WBSA's way of celebrating our most dedicated members who have shown their support for our club by attending and participating in as many GMMs, community service events, fundraising events, and social events as possible! On November 19th, WBSA will be hosting a private event at Sephora that will include a makeup demonstration, a chance to apply products on your face as you follow the demonstration, and goodie bags! This is such a cool event! Spots are extremely limited, so it is first come, first serve.

WBSA will be traveling to Detroit during the second weekend of November! We will be touring Plante Moran's office on Friday, November 10th and learn about opportunities for those intending to work in the accounting field! On the morning of Saturday, November 11th, we will be doing community service for PB&J Outreach in downtown Detroit! After completing our community service event, we will travel back to East Lansing.
**We will be departing from East Lansing at 1 p.m. sharp from Bogue Circle.**
Since this event will require us to stay overnight, all members who sign up will be staying in a hotel in Detroit with us. Please note that for this trip all expenses are paid.

We will be going to Andy T's farm to carve pumpkins, ride around on a hayride, and munching on cider and donuts!

Come out to WBSA’s social and fundraiser at Chipotle! You can come and go as you please, just make sure to mention that you are with Women in Business Students’ Association to the cashier! WBSA gets 50% of the profits from this event which helps us provide these great events for you! There will be a flyer attached to our weekly email and flyers will be handled out at our GMM on 10/25 as well!

Mentors and Mentees will be announced on Monday, October 16th, so we've decided to create a special event for mentors and mentees to get to know each other! We hope to see you at this fun event located in 412 Eppley - after all, who doesn't love ice cream?

Where: You can participate in our fundraiser by placing candle orders online on Yankee Candle’s website. Go to the website, make a SELLER login account, and use our Group Number (990068958) when you purchase candles so that you can help WBSA to raise funds!
Points will be awarded based on amount raised - for every 5 candles you sell, you get 5 points! There is no cap on how many points you can gain!
